About our services
With our team of trained caregivers, Home Care Solutions provides older adults with assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) and companionship services. Tailored to the specific needs of the client, non-medical home care services may include:
- Assistance with bathing, dressing and personal care
- Supervision, socialization and companionship
- Help with walking, toileting, and getting in and out of bed
- Alzheimer and dementia care (able to link to more in-depth)
- Assistance with transportation and errands
- Support for leisure activities
- Light meal preparation
- Light housekeeping and laundry
In addition to in home care, Home Care Solutions has experience working with independent living communities, nursing homes and hospitals. Services are available 24-hours, seven days a week with 24-hour on-call supervision. Caregiver services are billed at an hourly rate with a five-hour minimum.

At Home Care Solutions, caregivers are carefully selected individuals who have the compassion, skills and commitment necessary to enhance the quality of life of our clients. To meet our exceptional standards, caregivers must have:
- Elder care experience and training
- Excellent work references
- Clear criminal and personal background checks
About our caregiver supervision and training
Home Care Solutions’ comprehensive delivery of services assures a level of caregiver support and supervision unique to this industry. We provide ongoing caregiver training by nurses and social workers, as well as 24-hour on-call backup.
Before your caregiver is assigned, an in-home assessment is conducted by one of our professional Care Coordinators to understand the client’s needs and to assure a personalized match. Our Coordinators make regularly scheduled client visits to supervise caregivers, monitor each assignment and continually assess the client’s changing needs.
Additional caregiver support and training are provided as a value service to assure quality care for even the most challenging situations. Comprehensive training focuses on the special needs of the elderly client and includes dementia care, behavior management, safety and professionalism. In-service training is required of all caregivers.
Cost
Caregiver services are billed at an hourly rate with a five-hour minimum. Services are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week. To inquire about our hourly rate, please call 504-828-0900.
Home Care Solutions’ caregiver services are generally “private pay” by individuals or families. Long term care (LTC) insurance can be a major source of funding for caregiver services, and we work with many to provide the documentation required by insurance companies to file for reimbursement to the family.
Caregivers are employees of Home Care Solutions and therefore are insured, bonded and covered by worker’s compensation. As their employer, we handle all the responsibilities of payroll, taxes, social security and scheduling. Bills are sent to the responsible party every two weeks.
