- How long have you specialized in the area of eldercare and dementia?
We have been actively providing services in eldercare and dementia since 1991.
- Are your Aging Life Care Management® services and home care services covered by Medicare or Long-Term Care Insurance?
Medicare does not cover Care Management or home care services. Long-term care insurance may cover home care services and some aspects of Care Management services. Consult your insurance company or review your plan to find out the details of coverage.
- Are you available on an emergency basis?
Our office hours are 9:00AM – 5:00PM. Outside of these hours, a supervisor is on call 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
- Are your caregivers trained and insured?
Caregivers are trained in Alzheimer’s care and also to meet the specific needs of each individual client. Training is ongoing. Our caregivers are employees of our company, and are therefore, licensed, insured and bonded. Our employees are also covered under Workman’s Compensation Insurance.
- What geographical areas do you cover?
We provide services in the Metro New Orleans area, including Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.

- What is a Care Manager?
A Care Manager is a professional, such as a social worker, counselor, nurse or gerontologist, who has extensive knowledge about the costs, quality and availability of resources in their community. They specialize in assisting older or disabled clients and help families navigate through the maze of medical, financial, and long term care options. Many Care Managers are members of the Aging Life Care® Association or other professional organizations. It is important to choose a Care Manager who is certified or licensed in his or her professional field.

- Assist with moving an older person to or from a retirement complex, assisted living or nursing home facility
