When you decide to turn to a Home Care Agency to help care for your aging loved one, you should expect a professional caregiver to provide assistance with daily living while keeping your loved one safe and comfortable. Many caregivers are good at what they do, but some have a special passion and gift when caring for others. With years of experience as a caregiver, Home Care Solutions professional caregiver Louvella, always goes the extra mile, exceeds expectations, and is committed to providing clients with the highest quality of care and always put them first.

When we asked Louvella, “What do you like most about being part of the Home Care Solutions team?” she responded

” Well, I’ve been with Home Care Solutions for one year and four months. I love the cooperation and understanding. I love that we all work well together. Home Care Solutions shows appreciation to me and the work I do with my clients.”

She also mentioned the training that Home Care Solutions has given her. She said, “The training is great!” She keeps up with ways to prevent falls and bed sores, along with many other courses given by Michelle Muller RN, and Home Care Solutions HR Manager.

It is easy to get wrapped up in the daily grind of providing care, but when we asked Louvella to share what a day with her client looks like, she had this to say…

“My client lived in an assisted living facility. She was the most enjoyable client. We did things! She told me about her childhood, we spoke about our school days, marriage, husbands, and what we enjoyed about life.  She loved to dance. We would dance! She loved music. We played checkers, tic tac toe, and seek and find words. She is such a joy. She is my sunshine.

Morning at the facility, when she didn’t like what was being served for breakfast. I would cook her some pancakes. I would get her whatever she wanted, beignets, donuts, anything. She was my sunshine.  At Christmas time, I brought her some socks that looked like “Santa’s boots”, a Christmas sweater, and Santa hat. I dressed her up and brought her out and about.  I got to spend time with her and her husband before he passed away. It wasn’t to long ago, earlier this year. I remember bringing them breast cancer awareness shirts tee shirts. I have a picture right here of this great couple dressed in pink, for breast cancer awareness month. I just love all my clients.”

Louvella’s time, effort and attention provide comfort and have a profoundly beneficial impact on our clients. This is an priceless gift. The stories and shared laughs she has, as she works with clients are all treasures that Louvella cherishes. It was a pleasure to hear her talk about the clients she works with.  She had a huge smile on her face the whole time.

Louvella was Home Care Solutions October 2018 Caregiver of the month. We appreciate everything she does and consider her an asset to our team.
